I know one person who has overcome a difficult challenge

When I was a high school student, I heard about Hawking, Stephen William who is a space physicist. No one impressed me like him. He was really something who overcomes his own physical disability.

He was born in England. When he was born, England was on the war, the World War Ⅱ. Being a teenage student, he faltered in speaking and was shy. More he was so shy that he couldn’t join his classmates. But he was a good student who was doing well at school. There were many schoolmates who were jealous of his intelligence. His intelligence had its own reason why his family was bookworms. He and his family use to discuss on something to read. He could think of creative stuffs, and he also concerned with social problems.

He entered Oxford University as a scholarship student. After he entered the University, he could easily solve problems that were given by professors. Even though problems were so difficult, it didn’t matter to him.

Finishing 3grades, from this time, he felt something to strange on his body. For example, bumping his body here and there, having an impediment in his speech. On the winter vacation in 1962, his family felt something strange to him. On the next day, he got a close examination and the result was an incurable disease, Lou Gehrig.

When he was in a desperate situation, he met a boy who was dying for leukemia. Although the boy was dying, he still had a hope. After that he was totally changed. His thought changed from desperation to hope. He thought if it would come down to die, do something to have a meaning, and He came back to his school.

He thought he would write the science book that is easy to anyone. That is ‘the history of time’. Even though he contracted that fatal disease, he has been still alive. He is not only alive but also having a good theory.

The most important thing is having a hope anytime. No matter how hard it is, we can overcome those things. We have a hope! We all should know this everyone have difficult time that seems not to overcome. But we’ll be able to do that. That hard time is just ‘Achilles heels’ which is owned by everyone.
